The 2016 Lascombes features beautiful candied violets, Black Forest cake, cassis and menthol with hints of underbrush, cloves, pencil lead and tar.

Medium-bodied with good intensity and firm, grainy tannins.

Excellent left bank Bordeaux.

Decanted for about 1 hour before serving.

Colour: Medium Ruby Nose: Pronounced with oak black fruit coffee cassis.

Palate: Dry. Medium to high tannins and acidity.

Full bodied with characteristics of vanilla tobacco minerals blackcurrant cherry Length of finish is long.

Well-aged, wonderful earthy leathery notes.

It finishes long and perfumed.

Paired with a roast beef.
